'

D: What is visualizing?

  • Visualizing is making a movie in your mind while you read.

P: How do I visualize?

  1. I understand the vocabulary.
  2. I use my memories to imagine what I'm reading by phrase or by sentence.
  3. I update my visualization as I go.
  4. I pay attention to imagery.
[Glue handout here.]

Imagery is descriptive phrases that authors use to help me visualize better.

C: When/why do I visualize?

  • I visualize while I read.
