D: What is a dictionary entry?
- A dictionary entry is a group of text including the pronunciation, part of speech, definition(s), and example of how to use a particular word.
P: How do I use a dictionary entry?

- Look at the part of speech. Does it match the way the word is used in context?
- Read each of the definitions and choose the one most closely connected to what I'm reading or studying.
- Don't ignore the examples! They help!
Tips & Tricks:
- If you can't find a word, remove a prefix or suffix.
Examples:
Preschoolers: Pre- school -er -s
Antispam: anti- spam
Remodeled: re- model -ed
Programming: program -ing
